Another year, another Urban Fitness Retreat.
We embarked on our EIGHTH retreat last week in Greece and it was just as amazing as all the rest.
But the best part about it?
THE PEOPLE.
We always say that it’s the people who make the Urban Fitness Retreat what it is.
It is incredible to see everyone come as strangers and leave as friends.
What is the Urban Fitness Retreat?
A fitness retreat that we run at a five star resort in Greece for people at all levels of fitness to workout together.
It's not all about the fitness though and we have lots of socials throughout the week, like the quiz, day trip to Lindos, final night prize giving and awards.
And ultimately you're on holiday, so there is plenty of time to chill out and catch some rays between workouts.
The weeks fitness schedule:
2 x Gym Sessions: Focused on machine and free weight exercises with lower strength rep ranges.
The UFR Olympics: Teams of four, much more cardio based workouts.
The UFR Decathlon: An individual event broken down into sections all across the resort.
The Beach Battle: Eight person event where you battle it out against the other teams with fun fitness based activities on the beach.
2 x ‘Run Club’: a new addition to the retreat schedule (and very much optional) with the choice of a 3,4,5km loop with the respective pacings.
Hike up the top of Tsambaki mountain which is roughly a 3 hour hike
Mobility & stretch session to finish out the week.
I may be a bit biased but honestly it is such an amazing week!
And guess what… The next one is coming up!
The next retreat will take place next October and we really have perfected how things run and work for the ultimate experience!
