Its the Christmas holidays and...
Lost control?
Fallen off the bandwagon?
Over-Indulged?
Starting in January?
We have all been there...
Trying to stay on track during Christmas can be difficult and often leads to an ALL or NOTHING mindset because balance seems over-whelming!
Here are my Top 3 Tips to a GUILT-FREE Christmas!
Tip 1. Daily Non-Negotiables ✅
Think of YOUR daily non-negotiable's - PLAN around them!
High Water Intake
Mindful Nutrition Choices
Keep Activity High - Steps
Good Sleep Routine
Regular Exercise
These keep us accountable to the little things. its these little daily habits that create CONSISTENCY in our health/fitness journey!
All these ‘small things’ add up!
Tip 2. Keep Moving✅
Steps are Steps - whether you get them from walking, doing Christmas shopping or dancing the night away! So, ENJOY getting them in over the festive period.
Don't GHOST the gym - we want to maintain our training habits. However, if you are shorter on time or simply don't want to spend long periods of time training over Christmas you can reduce your sessions by opting for; supersets, reducing break times or doing AMRAPs/EMOMs with fixed times.
Put your Christmas food to good use and use it to FUEL these workouts!
Tip 3. Embrace Flexibility ✅
Don't stress if you have indulged a little more than planned. Simply, get back on track with your next meal or workout. Do not let it lead you down the ALL or NOTHING road or 'F*** it' Mantra territory! This is where your daily non-negotiables will help keep you in tune.
However, Christmas only comes around once a year - so, do not feel guilty for celebrating with loved ones! It is also important to allow your body and mind to relax from your normal schedule from now and then - take this opportunity!
