"I am eating LESS and NOT losing weight?"

Are you consistently eating less?

Sticking to your plan?

And still not seeing the scale move?

You’re NOT alone...

This is a common roadblock in many people’s journey...

And it’s usually a sign that your body is asking for something different...not LESS!

1. Your Body Is Adapting to a Lower Intake

When you eat less for an extended period of time, your body may adjust by burning fewer calories. This is called METABOLIC ADAPTATION - your body becomes more efficient and starts slowing things down to conserve energy.

This is especially common when someone drops calories too quickly or stays in a deficit for too long without breaks!

It’s your body’s way of protecting you...not punishing you!

2. You Might Not Be Eating Enough

Yes, you read that right...

Sometimes, eating too little can make it harder to lose fat! Severely restricting calories can increase hunger hormones, stress levels, and even lead to muscle loss - all of which stall fat loss over time!

In some cases, we may need to actually increase calories to improve your metabolism, energy, and performance before we push for further fat loss!

3. Water Retention Can Hide Fat Loss

If you’re stressed, not sleeping well, overtraining, or even close to your cycle (for female clients), the body tends to hold onto water.

This water weight can easily mask fat loss - making it feel like you're stuck!

4. Tracking Gaps or Inconsistencies

Small things ADD up!

Oils used in cooking, extra nibbles, portion sizes not being weighed, or estimating instead of measuring. None of these are failures - they’re just easy to overlook and may explain a plateau.

5. Progress Is More Than the Scale

Your weight is just one metric...

Are your clothes fitting differently?

Are you feeling stronger in the gym?

Sleeping better?

Having more stable energy during the day?

These are huge wins and signs your body is responding well, even if the number on the scale is lagging behind!

You’re showing up and putting in the work, and that matters. Let’s make sure your effort is working WITH your body, not against it!
